I wonder if you believe

What it says in the song

There are so many love songs

By Croce, Elton or Lennon

But when I sing their songs

I feel like I'm giving you a second-hand car

So I wrote this song

Just for you

It's not fancy

Just a simple list of our love we share

The beer we brewed (together)

The boat we sailed (together)

The world we trekked (together)

The kids we raised


The coffee in the morning

The soda with lime at night

The salsa you make

And the songs I sing

Words don't come easy, though I try

I only have images

Of our past and wishful future

There are so many love songs

Maybe I can borrow some of their words

But you know it's funny

None of their words suits my love

So I wrote this song
